The Archive

The AMHT Archive, managed by our full time Curator Donna Bannister and Collections Assistant, Doug Henderson, is the largest collection of Aston Martin records and images in the world. It is the official archive of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. and the Aston Martin Owners Club and includes three significant photographic collections, including one from the legendary photographer Louis Klemantaski who did much work for Aston Martin in the 1940s and 1950s. There are also records from the earliest days, including personal ledgers and notes from Lionel Martin. We have the build sheets/service record cards for all the pre-war cars, hundreds of engineering drawings from the pre-war and early post-war period, all the records of the Aston Martin Owners Club and many other interesting items. We have recently updated our collection management system (CMS) to be compliant with the latest record standards. The new system enables a much improved search and display capability, combined with a more logical indexing nomenclature.
